Record Store Day – Black Friday 2014!

Mark your calendars for November 28th, 2014! MadCity Music Exchange will once again be participating in Record Store Day – “Black Friday”! We will have copies of the limited Black Friday Record Store Day exclusives available in the store. We will also have the ever popular and semi-annual Collectible Vinyl Sale bin full of rare and hard to find titles on the floor! Many of the titles in the collectible bin have not been seen on our shelves before!

And, we will have another 500+ new used LP on the floor and ready for new homes!

We will be opening early at 9 a.m. to give you more time to shop the Black Friday releases and collectible vinyl.

No long lines or gaudy promotions, just great music with your local independent record store!

Record Store Day 2014!

Thank you for making Record Store Day 2014 our most fun and successful
yet! It was great seeing so many familiar and new faces. If there
are any limited edition Record Store Day releases you’re still looking
for, please stop by or call the store. We still have a few items in
stock.

The bands who played our RSD party, Building On Buildings and Dharma
Dogs, were fantastic! Make sure to catch them next time they play in
town. Also, thanks to the local arts website/podcast Arts Extract for
setting up all the great live music! They are your best source for
everything that is happening in town! And, thanks to Bandung for
being such great neighbors, hosting our bands and celebrating with us.

Record Store Day 2013 – Black Friday Edition!

Black Friday – November 29, independent music retailers across the country, including MadCity Music Exchange, will be offering exclusive, drool-inducing, made-for-that-day products, see below. We expect to have most of the releases in stock, but due to the limited availability of most products, we will not be taking any pre-orders or holding any items.

In addition to offering the exclusive Black Friday releases, we also will be holding our semi-annual Collectible Vinyl Sale! All of the rare gems we’ve been keeping under lock and key will be available for your shopping enjoyment. We shun the idea of selling all of our collectibles online because serving you, the people who keep real record stores alive, is our top priority.

To give you more time to shop the Black Friday releases and collectible vinyl, we will be opening early at 9 a.m. No long lines or gaudy promotions, just great music with your local independent record store!

Thanks especially to all the bands and buskers who played here: The New Years Gang, Little Legend, Phil Gnarly, Rodeo Bums, Tom Teslik, Sammy V, and Michael Gruber.

Also, thanks to the local arts podcast Arts Extract for setting up all the great live music! If you need to know what’s cool and happening in town, they are the best!
