RSD 2024!

Record Store Day 2024 is Saturday April 20! We’ll be opening at 9am fully stocked with exclusive RSD items & tons of used collectible vinyl! There will be gift bags full of cool stuff, while supplies last!

Look for your chance to enter to win fantastic prizes of new vinyl & CDs, concert tickets, and gift packs from great local businesses such as: Barley Pop, The Bur Oak, Rotunda Cafe, Forward Craft & Coffee, HiFi Haus, FPC Live and others!   Check out recordstoreday.com for a list of the official titles!

A few details:

We’ll begin the day by limiting the number of people in the store to prevent overcrowding. Once the initial line has been served we will be open for shopping like normal.

Also, stop by and say hello to our pals from 106.7 The Resistance & 94.1 JJO. They’ll be outside the store with giveaways that morning.   Reminder about the RSD titles: They are made in limited quantities and are allocated to all participating stores. Due

Open again, bring a mask…

Starting on Monday May 18, we will be reopening with new, temporary hours — 11a-4p Monday-Sunday.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again while prioritizing your health and ours.  To make sure everyone stays safe, we are asking that you make an appointment to shop in-store.  Appointments can be made any time by emailing info@madcitymusic.net or by calling (608) 251-8558 during our new business hours. Same day and walk-up appointments are a-ok, too, assuming there is space available.  We will do our best to accommodate all requests.  And, of course, please no shopping if you’re not feeling well!

While in the store, you will be required to wear a face mask, so please bring your own (we will have some available in case you forget). We will be providing disposable gloves that must be worn while shopping (unless you have your own).  We also ask that, whenever possible, payments be made by credit card.  And, yes, there will be plenty of hand sanitizer available, and we will be keeping up with our regular cleaning protocols!

If you’re still not quite ready for in-store shopping, we will continue to offer curbside pick up
